“not fat” and the start of a new quad, the 4MP
tonight i met up with a guy that i had exchanged a few emails for a couple weeks. i liked his personality online, and it wasn’t until today was he actually in town and had time to meet up. he offered to come to my neighborhood, but i drove to his bc well, his is much cooler and parking sucks in my hood. from his photos, he seemed kind of cute, but in the close-up photo, he looked a little chubby. of course, the internet adds ten pounds, so he is instantly labeled as “probably fat”. regardless, i met up with him to see what the deal was.
i arrived at the crowded bar, and saw him. he looked just like his photos, but no glasses, and NOT FAT! yay. that was good news because i was afraid i would have to spend the evening with tubby. not that i’m in the best shape of my life, but its the internet, and all of a sudden we feel like we have our “choice” of what we want as if we were shopping at a supermarket with unlimited options. he had a pleasant face, and seemed a little shorter than what he posted. however, i, too may have added an inch or two to my profile height, so touché. onward ho, we got some beers and got a table and some food because there was nowhere to stand. that was nice. we chatted and actually had pretty good conversation. i was engaged. i was smiling. he told me his background, and it was completely different than what he looked like. i liked that. he had a cute face. he was also a middle child and the difference in his siblings ages were similar to mine. he is also nerdy and likes playing puzzle and word games. we talked about movies and music, and basically had a great time. he walked me to my car and gave me a hug. i offered to drive him to his car, because we all know what happened to Mr. Rogan, but said it was ok. i decided not to share the seth story. anyway, i guess i can say this is the first OKC date where i actually liked the guy and want to see him again.
“not fat” (NF for short), completes my quad for the start of a proper 4 man plan (4MP). right now they are all quarters and are as follows:
- NF (Not Fat)
- SR (Seth Rog@n)
- GB (Grandma’s Boy)
- BBV (Big Black Volleyball)
So far, I have physically seen all of them once, and they are all in the running for date #2. Not bad for fulfilling a short list of qualities needed:
- Employed
- Has a car
- Has an apartment
- Can take me out on dates
NF is a director; SR is a programmer; GB does sound engineering; and BBV is an attorney. Let the games begin! Just in time for summer :)
